We, at Macon Volunteer Clinic, are overjoyed to announce our relocation to a new, larger facility, a building owned by Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. This new location marks a significant milestone for the Clinic’s growth and expansion efforts and our unwavering commitment to better serving the community.
Our partnership with Mulberry Street United Methodist Church is not a new one, but their generosity toward assisting in the expansion of our Clinic is a strong indicator of the power of this partnership. Through a generous agreement with Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, Macon Volunteer Clinic will lease the building, located at 770 Walnut Street for the nominal sum of $1 per year for the next 30 years. This partnership is a true testament to both organizations’ shared values of compassion, service, and community support.
The new facility will undergo extensive renovations and updates that will allow for the building to accommodate the growing demand for healthcare services in our area. Renovations are scheduled to commence in the coming weeks and will take place over the next 14 months. The clinic plans to modernize clinical areas, add a dental suite, enhance administrative offices, and improve infrastructure to provide for a more comfortable and efficient environment for patients, volunteers, and staff.
Macon Volunteer Clinic has been serving the community for 20 years and it’s with partnerships like this, that we are able to continue our mission to improve health and wellness by providing primary care services to uninsured working adults of Macon-Bibb and Twiggs County, Georgia at no cost. The clinic’s team of dedicated and passionate healthcare professionals and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that all patients receive the care and support they need to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
